The Captain

One Captain shall be appointed by each Team, and he alone shall have the privilege of discussing with the Referee any questions relating to interpretation of rules which may arise during the progress of a game. He shall wear the letter "C", approximately three inches (3") in height and in contrasting color, in a conspicuous position on the front of his sweater.

NHL.com online magazine: Impact

It seems like I'm going back in time, not sure it is the right way to blog.

Anyways, I found another classic that I want to share. NHL.com's online magazine 'Impact' had a special issue on the "C" in january 2003.

There are several articles, including an article about captaincy in general, Mark Messier, and Joe Thornton. They even pick the top 10 captains of the last decade (remember it was written in 2003).
